Amelia Napaljarri was born in an Aboriginal community, in Australia in 1952. She comes from a big family, she is now married and has four children and several grand daughters.
Since 1996, she has been painting for the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal art center. She uses icons and traditional symbols of her community to portray dreams and stories passed on by her family, from one generation to another. However in her paintings, she tries to interpret her culture through a modern world.
The Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation has exhibited many of her works throughout Australia.
