Lionel Férréol YAMADJAKO (Yamadjako) was born on January 12, 1984 in Cotonou. He took his first steps as an artist at a very young age alongside the artist Pascal Avokopo in Ouidah and continued in various artistic workshops after studying wall covering techniques at the Coulibaly Technical High School in Cotonou. Training in workshops and artist residencies, he has a preference for acrylic paint and oil pastel. His art draws from the source of African culture, daily life and current events. For Yamadjako, works of art carry messages and he invites the public to contemplate them but especially to touch them. He exhibits in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Senegal and France.
