Alícia Cohim knew she was a self-portraitist from her earliest contact with the camera. Seeking to use the visual language to interpret the relation between humans and nature, she constantly incorporates natural elements, like seashells, stones and plants, into her authorial production.
Her work is inspired by her own nature-related memories as well as literature, fairy tales, folk culture and landscapes ranging from the countryside to the coast o the Northeastearn region of Brazil.
