Born in 1986, Vivien Tapsoba, V-Taps being his artistic name, is a Burkinabian artist. He lives and works in Ouagadougou.
Vivien Tapsoba started painting in the 2000s and got trained during 4 years at the Olorun Foundation. In 2006, he exhibited at the Dakar Biennial.
Vivien Tapsoba is a humanist, he sees art as a way of sharing and exchanging with the public.The artist is interested in urban life and the atmosphere of the popular neighborhoods of Ouagadougou. He finds noise, colors and mood in daily life, which he transcribes with energy and dynamism in his pieces. His paintings are a witness of the social and physical changes of the city. He creates his canvases with acrylics and natural and pastel pigments.
His work is exhibited all throughout Europe.
