Carole Nieder

Carole Nieder's works are anchored in a multiple temporality. Both marker of a volatile moment and permanent tattoo. They express themselves in resonance with the elements and beings where the past mingles with the present.

His solar dance in the firmament of creative infinity transcends the elements to offer us a moment of eternity. His work is this All that unifies. Spatial, temporal, gestural and human connections, necessarily ephemeral, are perpetuated in the trace.

The whole becomes a memorial, conceptual and material artistic imprint.

An architect by training, Carole Nieder is nonetheless an artist at heart. She draws this creative force from the shackles of her earliest childhood, like an imperious, almost vital need. To meet societal constraints, she trained in architecture where she excelled and exercised her profession from 2013 to 2021.

But his creative need is exercised on the fringes of his profession. Little by little he takes a growing place until he imposes himself and leads him to leave his architecture agency.

“In 2020, and in parallel with my professional activities (architecture and teaching), I am responding to the call for applications from the DRAC Grand Est, for the artist residency “La Fabrique". My file is accepted. This residency in 2021 marks a real turning point in my life: I am being offered the opportunity for the first time to create full-time. I can no longer turn back. I left Strasbourg and architecture to devote myself to artistic creation and realize my childhood dream. Following this first residency, I am supported in my creative process by the DRAC Grand Est and the Ministry of Culture recently decided to support me financially for the creation of one of my projects over a period of 3 years. Today my passion has also become my profession. »
