Presentation

Born on October 17, 1987, Marc Boffin has always been passionate about drawing. At the age of 7, he was already taking evening classes at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nancy, and at the age of 12 he was creating extensively and raking painting classes after school. He studied architecture and design, but he kept his passion for the arts, especially for painting throughout his career.

The influence of pop art and street art is visible in his work, which is declined on various media: he paints on canvas, often producing large-format, imposing works, but also on less conventional media. He creates hybrid and surprising works, at the same time paintings and sculptures, on oil barrels or on mailboxes. On these barrels of oil, symbol of globalization, he paints logos of luxury brands, symbols of desire; the tension that the artist creates by this overlay creates works with an impressive presence and materiality. He also makes small-format sculptures, such as his "teddy" limited edition, sold out in just a few days after their launch.

The defining element for his work is Light, the light that caresses the characters' bodies, highlights the shape of a face or of an object. The delicacy of Marc Boffin's gradients, the finesse of the details, the formal purity of his works allow them to be part of any interior, from baroque to contemporary...

This aspect is one that interests him, as he uses his interior designer knowledge to enchant the eye of the viewer. Marc Boffin is listed in the Larousse dictionary and also works one commission, creating exclusive paintings: portraits, landscapes, still lives, vanities). There is no limit to his creativity.
