Florent Wong

Florent WONG, is a self-taught visual artist working and living in the North East of France, in Belfort. Florent experiments with other fields of contemporary art (stop motion...). Enriched by a double French and Chinese childhood, his work, very graphic and symbolic, is located at the edge between figurative and abstract art. Behind the lines often drawn in Indian ink, figures, women, animals, plant, mineral or organic forms hide, a mystery emerges. Florent Wong speaks of "metamorphoses". 

"The artists who have touched me through their work have built up in me a sensitivity and a need to express it. Since childhood, figurative art has nourished my imagination: going beyond its narrative and descriptive limits, inscribing it in a time warp, giving drawing an important place as a construction element, giving birth to a metamorphosis of forms that is freely associated with color. This intimate and sometimes confusing universe is mine. Florent WONG
