Marquise

Born at the end of the 1980s into a family on the move, Marquise grew up between West Africa and Europe, before settling permanently in France around the age of 15.

Nourished by her childhood abroad, a great dreamer and a true lover of images whose power, depth and aesthetics she admires, very young she made her first collages from the magazines she found at her home.

It was during her long walks in Paris that she discovered street art with its artists and eclectic mediums. If she begins by immortalizing with her lens the works designed by others, little by little the desire to share her own work with others pushes her to pose her first street collages, in 2018.

Working from a mixed technique of photography and collage, Marquise develops a poetic, dreamlike and quirky universe in which everyone is invited to dream, to project themselves and above all, to find their place. Committed, through her work she advocates values such as diversity, equality, respect, coexistence, tolerance and feminism to name but a few. It is with humor and poetry that she leads us today to question ourselves about our relationship to others and to the world in which we all live.
