Paul Louis Léger was born in 1961 in France. He graduated from ESRA ( Superior School of Audiovisual Production) and parallel to his studies explored other ways of expression such as photography, writting and painting.
A versatile aritst, Paul Louis Léger has done several short films, advertisings (Quick, Airbus, Crédit Mutuel) photographs and stories. In his photographs, he likes combining processes (silver salts, digital images, 3D etc) and playing with techniques (collages, superpositions etc) to address subjects as diverse as taboo such as death and sex. Always with humor, he challenges the observer by making fun of things that surrounds him.
In order to intensify the colors and to give more depth to his photographs, Paul Louis Leger prints his images in Hahnemuehle PhotoRag 308gr paper, paper of excellent quality. All his images are limited edition, signed and numbered.
In 2013, the photographs that he took of Marseille swimmers called "Le Bain du 1er Janvier" became the cover of the official program J1 at the exhibition Marseille European Capital of Culture.
