Florine Maes is a young French artist, born in 1985.
She creates collages, through a mixture of paint and ink, made up of bedlam ideas, images and information, more or less desired and controlled.
Florine Maes expresses her viewpoint, she does collage work in order to depict the chaos that she carries along with her everywhere she goes. She makes them with the help of collected images, assembles them through ideas, colors and textures. Adding paint or ink allows her to unify these images and achieve a general idea, a much more homogeneous one, while retaining the hazy, confused and abstract aspect of the idea.
