Mathis Duhem is a young Franco-Belgian artist, born in Lille.
Mathis is a painter who focuses his work on abstract pictorial research. He likes to play with gravity and mixtures of textures in order to achieve an aesthetic result specific to his work.
Recently, he has been using more and more large formats which he paints without any use of instruments but only with his hands. A musician himself, he likes to give his works musical titles in order to bring the viewer to travel with him.
He also produces series of Chinese ink inspired by travel.
Despite its precocity, Mathis's works have already been exhibited several times in Belgium and France and sold all over the world.
