Presentation

Joëlle Rousselet's research is the essential link that connects people to nature and to other lives. She paints the connections, the movement, the moults, drawing on a deep interior energy, an intrauterine movement which guides her in her pictorial adventure.

She dances on a thread, approaches the abyss, nothingness, moves away from recipes, fabricated, knowledge, to explore new writings.

Each canvas is a quest, a challenge. She seeks balance and vital resonance through her experimentation, feverish stages of construction and deconstruction to bring out the invisible from the visible.

Showing the scratches of time, the stigmata of human vicissitudes, his Soul Landscapes are masks that both reveal and hide. All that remains is the emotion, the strength, the madness of the disfigured figuration.
