Safia Bahmed-Schwartz

Safia Bahmed-Schwartz graduated from Beaux-Arts in Paris. She lives and works in Pantin (93). For 15 years, like a ritual, she has painted bodies every day, sometimes naked and sometimes not, which mingle and enjoy together. Far from the oppressive standards of bodily beauty, regardless of gender, age, race or class, she documents the erotic intimacy of skin and limbs from all angles and positions. All forms of sexuality and body have their place in this endless kaleidoscope of free pleasure. The line is graphic, the plural tones of ultramarine blue and the invisible faces give free rein to fantasies and the rewriting of stories by everyone.
