Stéphanie Laperrière (Slap)

Passionate about drawing in the first place, I only recently got involved in sculpture. The feeling that comes from touching the earth is unlike anything else. 

"Perfect osmosis between matter and spirit! " 

With my hands in clay, I walk into the unknown until I see a silhouette or a look that touches me appear in this inert block.

So I try to give this nascent animal all of my sensitivity and the love I have for nature and its beautiful diversity.

Through my work, I do not seek to fit into hyper-realism or any other particular movement. 

I just want to convey an emotion, to share the beauty that this fragile and threatened nature represents to me ...
