Louis Montanaro (Falcone)

Louis Montanaro, also known under the artist name “Falcone", finds himself from an early age influenced by the art world. Indeed, born of a painter and sculptor father, it was at the age of 3 that he produced his very first work in his father's studio. Occupying part of his father Renato's studio, Louis is aware of this chance and talent is not hereditary, so it is with a lot of work, time and patience that Falcone will manage to find his own brand of manufacturing.

If the reputation of the "padre" is well established, Louis' future is to be built and it is he alone who will decide whether or not to paint the blank canvas of his life. Why Falcone? "To differentiate myself from my father, but also because it is the name of the grandmother, which I find very beautiful".

It is thanks to a romantic encounter that Falcone really invests in his art. No, the accursed poets did not invent anything… woman is a muse and love a creative force! He began by painting in larger formats and began to sculpt in the spring of 2014. He imagined powerful animals and nonconformist signs ("fuck" sculptures). Yet Falcone is neither anti-social nor anti-conformist. “I don't try to stand out by provocation, even if there is a little provocation in the works of every artist and in the mind of every human being! My first sculpture is called "Lucky" and it is the name of my cat. I wanted to sculpt him because when I scratched him behind the ears, he closed his eyes and lowered his ears systematically. Is that unconventional? For the bull, what interested me was the movement of the symbol of the Lamborghini brand. As for the “fuck", one day I had a small piece of polystyrene left and I said to myself “fuck, I'm going to do a fuck!".

Of course, thanks to his father Louis already has a story. Louis' story is made up of colors, of materials to touch, cut, transform. This story has only just begun.
