AkirOvitcH is born in 1980 in Istanbul. Self-taught, he joined the world of art through graffiti in 1995. He was encouraged by JB and LOOP. He continued this activity with his own group in 2002,AC/AOC. Fascinated by letters, he decided to turn towards calligraphy in 2014.
He uses various supports for his work: canvas, vinyls, walls...Calligraphy is omnipresent, whether it's explicitly represented or just transparently suggested. His works look for the perfect harmony between calligraphy's rigor and his urban inspirations.
