Presentation

Self-taught creator, I imagine and assemble vintage-looking robots using recycled materials.

Each domestic object of our everyday life has a specific and defined use. Out of use, or at the end of its cycle, it is destined to be thrown away or destroyed.

Using materials at the end of their life, found in the street, or acquired from associations such as Emmaus, I aspire to offer them a second aesthetic life at the antipodes of their initial functions.

I strive to demonstrate that all elements, even the most improbable, can be reborn in a new form. Originally, I have no predefined idea; it is when I discover a particular box or utensil that I visualize the general aspect in search of aesthetic harmony. In the age of the disposable, the contents of our garbage cans appear from another angle. I want us to take a different and playful look at our everyday objects thus revisited.

I like to work on metal parts marked by patina and wear that mark our memory and convey a part of nostalgia. In an era of disposable garbage, the contents of our garbage cans rearranged with imagination and dreamlike quality allows us to sublimate these revisited everyday waste. From these unique compositions, made exclusively from salvaged pieces sometimes including improbable materials, unexpected representations emerge, elevating the accumulation of waste to the status of works of art.

No welding is done, the pieces are exclusively bolted or riveted. Boxes, drills, fire extinguishers, toasters... become playful robots.

The creation of robots was spontaneously imposed, due to the nature of the angular metal supports, combined with a personal taste for these fascinating characters with a vintage look. Imagination and invention are limitless and constantly renewed since each piece is unique and cannot be strictly reproduced identically.

This material rebirth of everyday objects, should provoke a critical look at consumption patterns; obsolescence, waste, disposability, and provoke an awareness of the link between man and his scraps.
