Sophie Menéndez is a Parisian artist born in 1976 in the south of France.
She has a background in philosophy, and art has always occupied her time. In 2009 she joined the Ateliers des Beaux-arts de Paris, abstract painting section with the teacher and painter Martin Bissière.
In 2010 decisive encounters influence her work in a very significant way, it is in NEW YORK that she meets major artists of the American contemporary scene: Brendan Cass, Brian Belott, Daniel Rosenbaum and Donald Baechler.
His work then takes on a new dimension, he frees himself. The palette is vibrant, the artist turns out to be a real worker of Happiness. A hedonist at heart, Sophie sets out in search of happiness and the pleasure of creating in order to exist outside of oneself.

Since 2013, she has been experimenting with mixed techniques, assembling and reassembling recovered and recycled papers, fragments of paintings and various materials.
In 2020, in the midst of the Covid crisis, she met the artist photographer Antoine Rose, this collaboration made it possible to produce diachromic pigment prints and plexiglass mounting of these works. The works become aerial, the colors and shapes are sublimated, vibrant, timeless.
