Ivan Murit

Ivan Murit (Strasbourg, 1990) is an artist and designer who generates and arranges visual forms with computer programming. His work is digital and organic at the same time.

Ivan Murit studied at the School of Fine Arts in Rennes, then in Valence until 2015. He learned computer code on his own. Van Murit manipulates shapes and colors through computer programming. He imagines systems that create forms. His research in the visual field and his interests in computational biology have led him to use algorithms drawn from scientific models of nature, questioning the ways in which we produce our images in the age of automation. His works often take the form of manufacturing processes or even tools.

His attraction for systems and his research in the field of image and science led him to use algorithms that model natural phenomena. It questions the ways in which we develop culture in the computer age.
