German Artist, Andy Hope 1930 (originally Andreas Hofer) is a German conceptual artist, one of the most famous of his generation. The originality of his art resides in the fact that it is conceptul and figurative at the same time.

His first name, "Andy", is a reference to pop culture. His style borrows from comic book superheroes, dinosaurs, devils, spaceships, villains and science fiction illustration, mixing these elements with artistic positions such as those of Kasimir Malevich, James Ensor, Marcel Duchamp and Paul Klee. He creates over-paintings, collages and cut outs that have been exhibited around the world.

His universe was defined by art critic Noemi Smolik as the "world of pop icons, dreams and nightmares and imagination itself”.
