Layong Jingga Probo is a young hyperrealist artist from Indonesia. Still life painting, specifically with fruits, is a constant theme in her paintings. As an artists' daughter, her father's influence has had a considerable impact on her artistic process.
Like human life, fruits are perishable and ephemeral; representing the transient nature of our existence. Nevertheless, Probo believes in 'here and now'. Probo's portrayals of fresh and ripe fruits stand as symbols of abundance, bounty, fertility, youth and vitality, brightening up and spreading positivity in any room.
