Kristian Nardi

Kristian Nardi is an artisan blacksmith and sculptor, he lives in Cesena (Emilia - Romagna, Italy) with his family. He was born on the first day of spring 1983. He began working as a blacksmith at the age of 17 and, moved by a passion for art and materials, he began his career in sculpture.

In these 20 years therefore he has cultivated and deepened his passion and profession. His works are not designed particularly to communicate something to people, but rather they are a 'gift' that Kristian grants himself. 

Because with the forge lit and the fire in front it is like he feels at the center of the Earth. This feeling is what gives him strength, well-being, happiness. With his sculptures he tries to convey this feeling of satisfaction, even if only for a smile of those who find themselves in front of his creations.

The artistic language he developed can be considered a kind of minimalist expressionism. The shapes take on surreal proportions and features to enhance the mood or soul of the subject represented, but at the same time they are expressions of infinite delicacy. Each of his works is characterised by this fascinating contrast between 'rough matter' and human frailty. And since his works leave you a smile inside, we can say that in the end the human factor is the predominant interpretation: it resolves contrasts and produces beauty.
