Presentation

Fernando Suarez is an extremely versatile sculptor. His training, his mastery of the environment and his indefatigable creative capacity allow him to follow many different paths of creativity, although these paths may share similar challenges.

He works preferably with iron and bronze, but it is surprising to note the multiple resources he uses to diversify his production. From the use of materials such as resin for example, to the manipulation of the multiplying effects of mirrors, or to the exploitation of all the possibilities offered by space occupation, with a singular obsession for movement and he weightlessness, he is above all interested in the human body, and is able to deepen both his psychic environment with the most varied formal solutions.

He uses the model of the strong man, with a muscular complexion, pushed to his most unsuspected limits, active, restless, proven, who must win, who jumps, climbs, runs, fights or maintains his balance, in a continuous balancing act, Fernando Suarez possesses an unusual mastery of capturing rhythm, gesture, the precise moment to freeze an image in time while studying its dynamic potential.

He is a special man, whose muscles are formed by blades and metal rods, and who is therefore also a hybrid machine, often immersed in suggestive futuristic poses, but he also studies the individual as a creator, in as an inventor of vehicles and gadgets, or as a being who transforms his environment. These are unique bridges, architecture and buildings from exotic settings evoking distant environments, or apartment blocks under construction or destroyed by fire, urban agglomerations, or even ironic circulatory chaos. shown in an absurd and endless circle. All of them are constructive and structural, sometimes very complex, which allows him to explore new and rich possibilities by using plastic.
