Pelin Balkir is a Turkish painter born in 1983 in Cyprus. She studied painting at the School of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan, where she graduated in 2005. She practices engraving and serigraphy as well. She currently lives and works in Istanbul.
Pelin Balkir offers us figurative and colorful paintings. She likes painting the street, and giving it another perception, another allure.
In 2005, her work was awarded at a painting competition by the Turkish Heart Foundation.
She did her first solo exhibition in 2007, to this day, she has participated in 28 group exhibitions.
