Biography

Born in 1984, Lee Ellis is a British painter, based in Bristol. Having graduated in Graphic Design from the University of West England in 2006, Ellis found his niche in portrait painting. Simultaneously imbuing his canvases with angst and humor, Ellis juxtaposes vibrant colors and dark subjects to produce pieces which recall the emotive artwork of Francis Bacon.
