The countryside and horizons where the atmosphere intensifies on the vines coincides with the gentle idleness of the land, producing the longed for and pampered harvests of the last weeks of summer. Shared vineyards, where the vine is cared for and worked on, patiently waits for the fruit, fruit that does not diminish, but rather keeps maturing until the desired result is reached: the grape harvest. The “terroir” would be the soul, which feeds and waters the fruit during its time on the vine. The land is considered to be the most important element, the foundation that guides the vine to find meaning. The deeper these roots go, the greater the possibility of making a high quality wine. Aroma and soul, indissoluble concepts, come from the air, the ground and the water. A perfectly balanced relationship between these elements results in a unique vintage. The vine-grower, like the artist he is, interprets his natural surroundings with patience, sensitivity and conviction. He respects its identity. An emotional bond with the “terroir”, or the lack of one, is conveyed through every sip of wine. Wisdom and age-old tradition will continue to guide its true spirit.

Extracting elements from a concrete idea and then letting part of my emotional and intellectual thoughts flow through them is how I express myself. I understand creativity as diverse connections expressed by line, stain and colour. I am fascinated by the way a line and a spot of colour or matter are incorporated into the space on the paper, and with the variations that this involves. I am inspired by nature as a continuum, its horizons, atmospheres, light …. Geology in the widest sense, going from the global to the specific, from the cosmos to the rock with its veins. I am also inspired by philosophy, and botany seen as a science with a spiritual load. Etching inspired me because it is a technique which has its own rules, where the result is often uncertain. This magical and unexpected part of the procedure means the emotion nearly always exceeds the rational idea. The smell of the ink, the textures of the paper and the plates covered in ink give it a special charm. Working directly on the metal plate, dry point with its velvety strokes means the process is almost infinite, because with every repetition, new questions, doubts and nuances need to be resolved.

Can I negotiate the price of an artwork?
For some artworks, you can negotiate the price. If the price of the work is negotiable, you have a “Make an offer” button under the “Buy this work” one.
To submit your offer, you must make a payment of the desired amount. Your offer will then be forwarded to the gallery, which reserves the right to accept or reject it. If your offer is accepted, it means that your order is confirmed by the gallery and they will prepare the artwork for shipment. If your offer is rejected, you will be refunded the total amount paid automatically. The gallery can also propose a counter-offer for the acquisition of the artwork.

Where can I have my order delivered?
Artsper delivers worldwide!
However, please note that once your order reaches its destination, it may be subject to VAT or other customs fees. These charges are beyond our control and you will be responsible for paying them (this is indicated at the ‘checkout’ first step).
Select the delivery address of your choice. Please make sure that someone is present to receive your order.
If your billing address is different to your delivery address you can specify this at the checkout.
Return and cancellation
You can return the artwork without needing to provide a reason or pay a penalty fee up to 14 days after receiving your order.
In the case that the right of withdrawal is exercised in the aforementioned time frame, the price of the artwork(s) purchased and the shipping costs will be reimbursed by us as soon as the gallery has received the artwork and notified us.
Artsper will manage the return of the work and will bear the cost of returns (which will either be paid by you and refunded by Artsper or directly paid by Artsper).
The artwork must be returned in perfect condition and in its original packaging (or equivalent).
The buyer exercises his right of withdrawal directly from MUMART, by sending an email to the address: [email protected].
