French artist, born in Paris. Coming from a family of artists, Pascal Cuttoli (aka Royal Glamsters) has always been immersed in the world of art. However, his vocation was born from the encounter with the work of Vassily Kandinsky then that of Marcel Duchamp and the Dada movement. .He participates in exhibitions very young (a first at 16 years old). It is also the time of tags and stencils (generally inspired by German expressionist woodcuts) and experiments, but it will be in the customization of various objects at Posca (including Doc Martens for which he receives several orders), inherited from the DIY culture, which he finds his mode of expression with the appearance of the first monsters and a "free abstraction". His artistic influences are diverse: let us quote Dubuffet, Tàpies, Fautrier, Alechinsky... And above all the art of the 80s with the "Neue Wilde" (Penck, Middendorf), Figuration Libre (Combas, Di Rosa), Bazooka, Mariscal, even Beuys... and of course New York (Haring, Basquiat, Bad Painting) , US and French graffiti, without forgetting Pre-Columbian and Amerindian Art, subcultures (punk, gothic, Hip-Hop, ...), comic strips (the "Klare lijn" will have an influence on his style decisive with artists like Hergé, Joost Swarte or Ever Meulen) and the Underground. After studying Art History (École du Louvre), he returned to creation through Design (furniture, lighting, tableware ) and a first collection launched in 2003 at Bô and Happy Home. It was in 2008 that the world of "Hooly" and the pseudonym of Royal Glamsters was born, marking a return to hand drawing and then to painting - and quite quickly the challenge of developing this universe of "infantization" [this is the time when we speak of "Kidults" and "adulescents"] as an "ideogrammatic" language with its syntax and its vocabulary, falling within an abstract semiology (the monster or the creature being considered here as a free and symbolic abstraction, emancipated from all figurative rules); the entertainment would be subversive ("subvertainment") !!! It is also the time when the time of realization of such drawings, as well as the attentive station which they impose on the viewer act as "oasis of social deceleration" ( expression borrowed from the social philosopher Hartmut Rosa), which is found in all his creation. From then on he will work as a painter and draftsman for different sectors of activity (collaborating with different brands and publishers around the world), also intervening occasionally in the street or in private premises, in particular in the 14th arrondissement (Paris), to produce murals or performances... If his work evolves, if the forms are sometimes more and more abstract, it is always with the significance of the "monstrous" and irony. And this desire to finally leave the "watcher" the last word: the freedom to interpret what he sees...or does not see; that of discovering and interpreting the intricate and tangled patterns of his drawings,…the devil in the details [“The Figure in the Carpet” (H. James)].

French artist, born in Paris. Coming from a family of artists, Pascal Cuttoli (a.k.a. Royal Glamsters) has always been immersed in the art world.

However, his vocation was born from the encounter with the work of Vassily Kandinsky, then that of Marcel Duchamp and the Dada movement.

He participated in exhibitions very young (a first at 16). It is also the time of tags and stencils (generally inspired by German expressionist woodcuts) and experiments, but it will be in the customization of various objects at Posca (including Doc Martens for which he receives several orders), inherited from the DIY culture, which he finds his way of expression with the appearance of the first monsters and a "free abstraction".

His artistic influences are diverse: pell-mell Dubuffet, Tàpies, Fautrier, Alechinsky... And especially the art of the 80s with the "Neue Wilde" (Penck, Middendorf), Figuration Libre (Combas, Di Rosa), Bazooka, Mariscal, even Beuys... and of course New York (Haring, Basquiat, Bad Painting), US and French graffiti, without forgetting Pre-Columbian and Native American Art, subcultures (punk, gothic, Hip- Hop, ...), comics (the "Klare lijn" will have a decisive influence on his style with artists like Hergé, Joost Swarte or Ever Meulen) and the Underground.

After studying Art History (École du Louvre), he returned to creation through Design (furniture, lighting, tableware) and a first collection launched in 2003 at Bô and Happy Home.

It was in 2008 that the universe of "Hooly" and the pseudonym of Royal Glamsters was born, marking a return to hand drawing and then to painting - and quite quickly the challenge of developing this universe of "infantization" [c is the time when we speak of "Kidults" and "adulescents"] as an "ideogrammatic" language with its syntax and its vocabulary, coming under an abstract semiology (the monster or the creature being considered here as a free and symbolic abstraction, emancipated from all figurative rules); entertainment would be subversive ("subvertainment") !!!

It is also the time when the time taken to produce such drawings, as well as the attentive station they impose on the viewer, act as "oases of social deceleration" (an expression borrowed from the social philosopher Hartmut Rosa), which we found in all his creation.

From then on he will work as a painter and draftsman for different sectors of activity (collaborating with different brands and publishers around the world), also occasionally intervening in the street or in private premises, in particular in the 14th arrondissement (Paris) , to create murals or performances…
