Carole Onambélé Kvasnevski

France Born in: 1978
Carole Onambélé Kvasnevski was born in Cameroon, where she spent a large part of her childhood.

One of her first sources of inspiration was the country's clay soil. The bursting nature and the soil pigments set the tone for her lifelong passion for colors. She grew up in the village of Ebang Megong. Her first contact with art was made possible by her uncle, the philosopher Jean-Baptiste Obama.

Carole Onambélé Kvasnevski arrived in France at the age of 10, and very quickly she discovered with fascination impressionism and abstract art. Today, her artistic research combines different techniques that form her mixed pictorial inheritance. Carole Onambélé Kvasnevski "sculpts" on canvas totems, hybrid flowers, geometric shapes, ancestral faces that lead us to deep and unconscious places. Her color palette brings to light the life and love in each and every one of us. The oil marries the movements and the construction of each work, as the artist delivers the key to perceiving her art.

Carole Onambélé Kvasnevski took part in numerous events and in 2010 she opened her studio and gallery in Paris where she welcomes artists and students. In 2015, on the occasion of UNESCO's Africa Week, she presented her new project, #100foulards.
