Vianney, a French painter born in 1962, was drawn to art from an early age, dreaming of painting and colours as a child.


Vianney was in art school for a few months, but, as he likes to say, he “ran away and never looked back”. He prefers to travel. As often as he can, he packs his bags and visits the greatest museums in Europe and around the world, always with his sketchbook. By admiring the works of the great masters of classical and modern painting, Vianney learned to create and nourish a true universe through his paintings.


His first exhibitions took place in the early 1990s, taking him to Japan, a country that overwhelmed him through its culture, decorative arts, architecture and design, and for which he developed a lasting passion. Vianney’s unique style stems from his many experiences and various travels.


Today, Vianney depicts luminous interiors with subtle chromatic work. The apartments and lofts in his paintings have large windows and offer a dream setting that will delight the viewer. His paintings include views of London, Paris, New York, Venice and Florence. There is no human presence in these interiors, the spaces are silent and calm. The cities, too, seem empty, in contrast with the idea of noise and crowds that we might have of them. Thanks to this emptiness and silence, his works have a soothing effect.


Vianney is a resolutely modern painter whose work brings together classical architecture and contemporary lines. His work connects the past and the present beautifully and creates a mix of nostalgia and romanticism that exudes from his paintings.


Through the simplicity and quality of his work, Vianney is a promising talent we are following closely. He is an emerging artist in the European contemporary art market.
