About the work: This work represents my point of view on the age-old conflict between parts of the Urban Art movement (understood in the widest sense possible) on the one hand and local institutions and some associations of citizens on the other. Instrumentalization, hypocrisy, extremism, misunderstanding, a certain classism, demonization are the order of the day, so a sad past with which we thought we had already reckoned returns as a metaphor for the present.

On the first day of August 1630 two desperate people were killed by order of the Milanese court because they were convicted of the epidemic of impervious plague at the time, the place where the two would produce certain poisonous substances was razed to the ground and in its place was erected a a column called "infamous", a plaque was affixed to the imperishable memory of the nefarious gesture of the two and of the exemplary punishment imposed on them. A third accused was saved thanks to his membership in a more affluent social class.

Who are the unters today? Are the artists accused of smearing the city with their colors? Are the institutions accused of being an obstacle to an artistic expression of which the whole city could benefit? Are some citizens who, though animated by the best intentions, have destroyed parts of our artistic heritage? They are some media that convey ideas somewhat surreal as the illegality tout court of the Street Art?

The cathedral, symbol of the whole city, appears covered with tags, but observing better it turns out that those words are the same (here translated into Italian) that appeared on the tombstone of the infamous column, public inscription work of established power.

This duality together with the double reading of the title tell a social contrast made up of shields and the presupposition of the other instances in which too few intervene with sincerity, sincerity and willingness to understand.

The "We do not want this" serigraphy was presented on 11/12/15 at the Artkademy spaces in Milan. I would like to thank all those present and the "participants", both artists and non-artists, who have signed a (unique) copy of the serigraphy during the inauguration.

Ale Senso

Italy Born in: 1975

Alessandra "Senso" Odoni was born in Bergamo. She graduated in 2001 at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Her artistic research combines different languages ??and artistic media with a preference for abandoned places and recycled materials.

Ale Senso's approach to "street art" is very varied: his works are dirty with materials collected directly from the street and feed on a manga aesthetic. The taste of science-fiction and matter are attacking, obtaining surrealist imaginations, sometimes joyous, sometimes unhealthy and disturbing: drawings full of details where zoomorphic figures develop their bodies like plants or human parts, all at the same time. along a stroke and sign in continuous evolution.

Parallel to her studies at the Accademia di Brera, she began working since 1996 on graffiti, urban art, workshops and educational workshops.

In 2007, she began her personal project Derelict Building, destroying buildings that represent not only the existence in the urban context of states of abandonment of buildings or old industrial districts, but manifestations of "suspended zones", Border locations between two worlds that assume a dreamlike connotation after the pictorial intervention of Senso.

From her art emerges a narrative universe sprinkled with surreal characters and situations with the idea of ??stimulating and dropping the viewer into his particular universe.

Ale Senso is one of the two protagonists of the street art performance that took place in the Ermites civic museums of Padua Saturday afternoon February 27, 2016 during the festival of psychoanalysis "The paths in the Enchanted Forest "organized by AJV, Analytical Travel, Cultural Association of Venice.
