About the artwork
Artwork sold in perfect condition
Sun Hyuk Kim is a Korean artist whose main inspiration is nature.
His elegant wall sculptures, installations, videos and paintings show us the powerlessness of humain being in front of the forces of nature. The sculptures of Sun-Hyuk Kim have been exhibited in galleries, Korean institutions and are part of private collections.
His creations talk about a human being, his life, his aspirations and his fears. The artist also explores the issue of discontent that has become a kind of disease of the XXI Century. Sun-Hyuk Kim builds a world in which there is no distinction between human being and nature.
This link between human being and his environment is very visible in the visual interpretation of his artworks and even in its technical realization. The artist transforms steel rods into organic forms: roots, branches, blood vessels.
Without going into too much detail, he reveals his world through an artistic language that is simple and true.
