Compositions florales colorées
Depuis que la nature inspire l'artiste, les peintures de fleurs existent. Elles nous rappellent à quel point le monde naturel peut être beau dans tout son esprit sauvage. Mais même lorsque ces fragments de nature sont cueillis dans le paysage et soigneusement disposés et mis en scène pour une nature morte, l'artiste utilise l'esthétique florale pour diriger le regard. Qu'il s'agisse de mettre en valeur la beauté ou de contester la nature toxique de celle-ci, les œuvres florales ont un sujet qui est immédiatement reconnaissable. Il appartient donc à l'artiste de dépeindre cette merveille naturelle, ou bien de déformer la beauté attendue des fleurs et de laisser libre cours à l'imagination. Pensez aux tournesols, myosotis, marguerites, roses et coquelicots de Gustav Klimt, inondés de couleurs. Le Bauerngarten (ou jardin de campagne) de Klimt, peint entre 1905 et 1907, captive véritablement le spectateur, avec un équilibre entre l'harmonie des couleurs et la liberté de la composition. Peut-être que la peinture florale dans toutes ses nuances peut attirer l'attention sur la disparition de la nature, et que les artistes contemporains peuvent encourager à ce qu'on la sauve avant qu'il ne soit trop tard.
