William Fenech

Born in 1946 to Bône ( Algeria) of Maltese origin, William is attracted from an early age by the drawing.

After the events of Algeria, he arrives in France and more particularly in Burgundy(Bourgogne) where he makes diverse works to make his living. Dreamy and contemplative, he takes advantage of his spare time to draw, to visit some exhibitions and goes fishing to get fresh ideas.

His tendency for the expressionism will be worth to him the appreciation of characters, in particular professors of School of Fine Arts and particularly Mister Delaris, the art teacher to the High school Arago of Perpignan which worked four years with the painter Dufy and which, on the occasion of an exhibition asks to know the artist Fenech.

Through the expressionism William Fenech passes on an emotion overflowing with the truth. The characters in action get for its paint a dynamism and a movement which takes the thoughts in the musical universe of its paints.

Its gift of draftsman, its capacity for work, will create a powerful and singular work which in spite of its diversity shows a rare unity of expressions, sensations and feelings.
