Presentation

Haralampi G. Oroschakoff, born in 1955, is an Austrian painter, designer and writer, from an old Russian exiled family. He lives and works in Berlin, Vienna and Cannes.

Haralampi G. Oroschakoff is considered a pioneer of East-West dialogue in art and a renovator of the reception of Eastern iconography in Western painting.

He is the author of "Die Battenberg Affäre" and one of the authors of the "Moskau-Berlin Stereogramme" (both published by Berlin editions). In 2016, his full monograph "Doppelkreuz" was published by Hatje Cantz.

"I had already written these lines when I learned from our artist that one could not imagine a closer relationship than that which binds him to Nicolas de Staël. Born the same year of his death, not only he admires and knows everything about him, but he even resumed an unfinished painting by de Staël. Twenty years after the artist's death, Oroschakoff thus finishes his painting The concert. " (Michael Maar)
