Humans are inclined to seek contentment. Success, wealth, ego satisfaction, suffering, addiction, reassuring superficiality are tools for an unstable equilibrium. I seek by abandoning a pure figurative to weave the links between the plastic and the depth of the cracks of the character in order to present the characters as close as possible to what they seem to me to be. The addition of elements of a surreal nature can have the vocation of highlighting this moral nonsense, just as the inclusion of the subject in an abstract framework can serve to underline the drift of a soul in search of answers.

By seeking to detach myself from the veracity of lines and physical features, through a game of incorrect proportions and inaccurate colors, my approach is to pierce the visible surface to dive deep into an intimate truth, which would only be the mine but is there, and then to succeed in sublimating a baseness that haunts and frightens.

There are no right or wrong interpretations of my work. Not understanding is acceptable. No one should understand. The “why" has only a relative value. Art should be a moment out of time. When it all comes to a standstill. The function of the painter is to remind the public of the inherently elusive character of Art. I'm not trying to define anything. I don't expect any specific reaction. My goal is intimacy, subject and language. Movement is the key.
