Presentation

Christophe Ruiz is an artist born in Pau, in the land of Béarn.

After a brief career in petrochemicals, he decides to get out of the world of industry and decides to travel the world according to the winds and encounters. Back in France, he begins to transcribe his artistic vision of the world on various materials, most often on recycled elements.

He then turns to lighter materials such as aluminum mosquito net and bubble wrap, appreciating their flexibility and their pixelated appearance. Through these delicate materials, he evokes the importance of taking care of an ancient world that escapes us, while alluding to the fragility of our environment.

Over the years, Christophe Ruiz begins to work with steel, using its alterations to emphasize the passage of time and the way in which it erases everything. His art is a poetic exploration of the relationship between man and nature, as well as the ephemeral beauty of our world.

His works have since found their place in many private collections.
