Presentation

ARySQUE learned to paint as a little girl with a box of shoe polish and a tube of lipstick, on wooden planks or pebbles. Since then, she has painted with everything. She draws in ink, pencil, pipette or felt-tip pen, on paper or on her iPad®. She twists wire, she teases the mouse, kneads the mud. She works her canvases from the front and from behind, she splits her papers, glues, tears, tears off, traces, etc. But that is not enough for him: he must also write. Write over and over again. Write, since always, for the substance as for the form, that of the verb and that of the letter. After several years of creating poetic-philosophical works under her real name, she became ARySQUE in 2012 and began to comment on the news on her blog, in drawings, chronicles and small online weeklies. In 2014, current events took a back seat to his work and ARySQUE returned to less factual themes that were strongly inspired by his studies in philosophy and his pronounced taste for poetry. A vigilant humanist, she examines religion, the environment, time, the syndrome of repetition and some major social issues. Among these, the difficult adaptation of man to his techniques, the management of migratory flows and information and, more generally, the question of sharing the planet, are at the heart of his work. Sometimes, however, ARySQUE still needs to breathe, so she talks about love, winds and pollen, seasons which bloom again and timeless stories. Very often it all ends with books. ARySQUE also works with children's audiences to create collaborative works.
