Jessica Fleurentin

Jessica Fleurentin is a self-taught professional artist who lives and works in the Ardennes in the small town of Nouzonville. An artist who has not yet exhibited much, it is shown exclusively at the StacklR Gallery, it was also very quickly spotted in its region where the Bogny / Meuse Museum devoted an exhibition to it. Very young attracted by the romantic representations of Caspar David Friedrich, then by the Impressionists and the Post Impressionists, it is of course the rich and green nature of his daily environment which quickly became the substrate of his artistic research The artist works only in oil on canvas and can be classified as dreamlike colourists. The artist Jessica Fleurentin hesitated for a long time between the representation of a universe close to the naive to recently discover the magic of the moment, of the ephemeral moment of a reflection, of a transparency on a water reflection, of transcendence. the blurring of a light morning mist, the iridescence of the bodies of water and the skilful harmony of a now softened palette. In search of infinity in his luminous and often mysterious canvases, the artist does not seek to restore a landscape but explores it with delight and sensitivity through successions of transparent glazes, the gaze crosses the canvas leads to a distance, an elsewhere , mists and fogs or an allegorical tree often isolated and given over to the elements, emerges and structures the painting to remind us of the ephemeral fragility of the living and its share of mysteries.
