Floriane Moraca

It was at the age of 15 that Floriane Moraca attended a discovery course at the School of Fine Arts, which awakened a definite interest in the plastic arts. She also loves nature and then embarked on a career in the design and layout of parks and gardens, before devoting her time to painting. Her first exhibition will open in January 2016 in the rue St James in Bordeaux. 

At the same time, she tries her hand at street art, learns how to handle the bomb with some graffiti artists of the local scene and performs on the walls of London, Belgium, Spain and Guyana; trips that will give rise to short films, as she is now interested in video. She makes a few collages on the walls of Bordeaux, Brussels and Berlin, which the local press will devote an article to her on this occasion. She has recently exhibited at the Récollets gallery in Cognac in Charente (16) and in Paris in the 11th arrondissement. Themes It is in her travels and cinema that she finds her inspiration. 

She is influenced by painters such as Miro, Klimt or Niki de St Phalle. These sources allow her to deal with many subjects, such as cultural diversity or the relationship between men and women. Technique For the realization of her paintings: she uses knives and brushes with acrylic paint and sometimes spray paint. She chooses to treat the abstract as well as the figurative on any type of support; canvases, walls, wood thus giving free rein to her imagination.
