Presentation

Born in 1973, ceramist Barbara Daeffler lives and works in Saint Brieuc. Her graduate studies in art history, archeology and ethnology were punctuated by internships in ceramics, then training with potters and ceramists as part of my job as a modeling and sculpture teacher at La Briqueterie, in Langueux.

Her work as a sculptor around animals, hybrids or zoanthropes is crossed by the imprint of History, Antiquity and mythology. Since 2018 she has been showing all of her creations in galleries, exhibitions, and salons.

She also teaches ceramics and raku techniques at La Briqueterie and regularly gives Raku workshops and courses in other structures.

Her work is also accompanied or integrated with sound compositions, produced by herself or in collaboration with sound artists.
