Presentation

Trained, deformed, informed by existence, I have been involved in art therapy in specialised environments where suffering and violence are experienced on a daily basis by residents (psychiatry, Maison à Caractère Social) as well as during artistic residencies in agricultural high schools and an art centre on the theme of social links... (Centre d'Art Contemporain de Troyes).

Self-taught in the practice of picto-graphy until the age of 30, I later trained in Plastic Arts after specialised studies in human sciences and advertising design (Paris I / Licence Arts Plastiques, Paris V / CU art and therapy, IESA / management and organisation of an exhibition, UNIECO / advertising design) in order to better understand my artistic practice in the history of contemporary art.

In 1976, with a few friends practising plastic arts, I created the association of "Artistes Inconnus" which questions the status of the artist by allowing members to exhibit an original creation in recognised and sometimes unusual places (cinemas, refectories etc.). The association has been supported by the Champagne Ardennes Region, the city of Charleville Mézières and the Belgian town council of Bouillon (review "La dryade").

Author of plastic works, vacillating between figuration and abstraction, realized with the "spontaneous" techniques which can be traditional, I also "implement" installations.

The idea of the "fold" is very present in my work in the form of a "folding" of objects (and sometimes even monuments) as well as in creations with textiles and monotypes.

My interest in language can often be seen in the titles / puns that I attribute to my works.
