Guive Khosravi

Born in 1967 in Talence (France), nothing destined Guive Khosravi to become an artist.

After graduating from the Aix en Provence School of Arts and Crafts, he worked as an engineer for ten years.

At the same time following drawing lessons, he produced and successfully sold engravings and serigraphs, while wondering whether he should persevere in his profession as an engineer or devote himself to Art.

Opting for the second solution, he moved to Vallauris in 2001 and it was love at first sight, a nascent passion for Ceramics.

Shortly after, in 2002, he received the Silver medal for "the Eye of the Photographer" at the Biennale Internationale de Céramique in Vallauris.

Accustomed to using earthenware for his objects and sandstone for architecture, he was invited to the 18th Budapest Symposium in 2003, where he discovered porcelain in the Alfod factory with magnificent installations, allowing him to use at best technology.

In 2006 for Villeroy and Boch, he created in this same factory, in collaboration with local technicians, a hundred dishes.

Mixing with happiness various influences, he creates the "Khosravi" style which, testifying to a horror of emptiness, reveals an overflowing imagination.

His works, high in vivid colors, retain the gaze that details to infinity, a multitude of patterns rubbing shoulders in an anarchy, perfectly organized and very "Street Art".

Its universe inspired by Pop art and cartoons has not finished making you travel, especially in childhood!

Multicolored paintings with multiple characters and icons referring us to years gone by and yet not so distant.

He describes his art as a contemporary diary.

His goal: that a dialogue begins between the object and its viewer as a reminder of a memory of childhood or adolescence, a forgotten moment, which would return to the liking of his works, to the surface of our memory.

His juxtapositions of images mix well-known characters and images saturated with color.

For his paintings, he works with spray paint and acrylic. High in color, his creations catch the eye!
