South Africa is therefore the country of my childhood. I was born there and lived there until I was 11 years old. Then I came to France and now live in Bordeaux. Perhaps that is why my work essentially revolves around the representation of memory, questions about belonging and the relationship to time. In my work, I use both photography and painting to play on the discrepancy that exists between a possible objective reality, the perception we have of it and how this discrepancy influences our relationship to the world.
