Artist Statement:

Art is about having sense of mystery and drama. I am looking to evoke a new concept by bridging the abstract and the figures. The solitary abstracted figure with her vibrant color palette evokes strong feelings and memories. My figures are intended to be evocatively direct.

An artist must be aware of the directions their works are going and solve problems that may occur each step of the way, while not losing focus on your aesthetic goals. Artists are a little like a scientist and a little like a performer; You have to seek out the right formula or invent a new one to make your idea work.

I was educated at The Nihon Designer Institute in Tokyo, Japan. I worked as a graphic designer before moving to the United States. I recently won the Grand Prize at an International Art Competition held at the Ariel Gallery in New York, NY.

My work has been collected by patrons in California, Arizona, Florida and Hawaii. And, I was included in Art in America's Guide to Galleries, Museums and Artists, and The Marquis Who's Who in the South and Southwest.
