Presentation

Jors started practicing photography autodidactically during the 80s. He used an analog camera and his bathroom was his photo development laboraty. The arrival of the digital gave a boost to his work in 2003.

His work immerses us in a paradoxal realism, while his pictoriality tends towards the romantic sensibility of the nineteenth century. The legacy of Flemish painting meddles in his paintings. The influence of British landscaper, John constable, is blatant in his work.
His use of fog exacerbates the sensibility of his work: "I'm attracted to things that dissapear" says the artist. the artist masters the art of landscape, where the traces of his sensbility superimpose. The noise of his pictures crystallizes the summet of delicacy. The photographer depicts his emotion with a layer of reality. a reality mixed with fog and lyricism and reality unify.

Numerous exhibitions celebrate his work. He has received numerous awards as well, such as the illustrious Hahnemuhle Anniversary Photo Award in 2009.
