Mathilde de Bellecombe

Born in 1976 - France

Mathilde de Bellecombe is a French artist born in 1976.

After growing up in Aix-en-Provence in the South of France, she moved to Paris at the age of 20 and studied interior architecture and design at the School of Camondo, She grew up under the sun and light of Aix-en- Provence (France). Passionate about painting since a young age, it was obvious that she would specialized in this field and trained in various workshops, first at the workshop "du Soleil" (1988-1990) then at the workshop of Dominique Baument (1990-1996) and finally at the workshop of Sevres (1996-1997).

She then moved to Argentina where she plunged in the colorful world of the Latin American country and perfected her painting style at the workshop of Marcela Baubeau de Secondigne. She stablished as well her favorite subjects such as hope, our daily pursuit for happiness, the possible paths available to us in life. Her abstract paintings of flat colors are full of walking figures, figures that are always left blank.

Once she returned to France and since 2009, she regularly frequented the workshop Piece Unique. Her work has been exhibited in several exhibitions in Argentina and France, including at the Grand Market of Contemporary Art, at Place de la Bastille in Paris in 2016.
