Spanish sculpturer Joan Artigas Planas was born in 1960 and is has graduated from his art studies in 1985; he has been teaching sculpture at the School of Arts in Barcelona since 1988.

His characters slide, dream, gaze, listen, rest or cry but never fall for their pedestal. The "woman" is reproduced to infinity because, for the artist, she is represents the infinite.

Artigas Planas pays homage to her and depicts numerous versions of her, in colors ranging from blue-green to red. For the artist, the composition is not limited to bronze, it goes beyond it and occupies more his whole universe. Artigas Planas situates his work in space, in the matter, in himself, building pedestals out of Corten, often very imposing, but always harmonious. From mural sculptures to the ones on the pedestal, the artist never gets tired of creating his art.

Artigas Planas's work is part of many collections and continues to be exhibited in Spain but also in France, in Denmark, or Norway.
