Jason Kanaginis (born September 19, 2005, Athens, Greece) is a Greek painter living in Geneva, Switzerland. Jason is the middle child of three brothers with which he has an extremely loving and caring relationship. Both his parents are bankers.
His grandmother, Niki Kanagini (1933-2008), was an internationally acclaimed Greek artist who is an inspiration for Jason. He attended Athens College, a prominent preparatory Greek-American school. From a very young age, Jason had an inclination towards creating.
He was creating a variety of things, from installations out of chocolate, to little pots out of clay for his younger brother's christening ceremony. At a young age, Jason also developed a passion for basketball, something which he continues to pursue to this day.
In 2016, Jason and his family relocated to Geneva, where he is attending the International School of Geneva, the most diverse school in the world, with over 140 nationalities. By being exposed to people from all over the world, Jason learnt to appreciate different cultures. During that time, Jason began to introspect and search for purpose in life.
The passing of a close family member along with his strong teenage emotion that was burning inside him, lead him to create art. His works include acrylic and media such as crayon and spray paint on canvas. His art is exhibited internationally and is part of private collections.
