Claudio Locatelli lives and works in Paris. In 1999, Claudio Locatelli graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Beaux-Arts de Paris, in sculpture.
At first, he works on live models with famous sculptor Cesar assistant in the Perrin-Duffau studio. Then, he joins the Lebel and Georges Jeanclos studio, where he carves on terra cotta as well as on some new materials.
In 1998, Claudio Locatelli obtains a grant and leaves for Valencia, Spain, where he discovers and works with sandstone. He is selected for an exhibit at the Bancaixa Foundation. Back in Paris, he creates a monumental sculpture model for Cogedim and two stone carvings for the Archeological Museum of Samara.
In 1999, he prepares his diploma under Giuseppe Penone and Richard Daecon. Since then, his work is regularly exhibited in Paris: Galerie du Fleuve, Galerie Samagra, Galerie Eric de Montbel, Galerie Aittouares, Galerie Francis Barlier, Musee de la Halle Saint Pierre.
