June Kim was born in South Korea. She grew up in her country of origin before leaving for the United States for her studies. She builds sculptures and installations by mounting a red thread on Plexiglas structures, following her data on social networks. His work is inspired by the concept of the red thread, an ancient Asian belief that all human beings destined to meet are connected by an invisible red thread.
Her work has been awarded multiple times (SeeMe Global Competition, Scope Art Show Art Basel 2012, California Open Exhibition 2013, Apple Vision Pro finalist...) June Kim has participated in numerous art exhibitions in California (Main Museum , San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, BG Gallery, H Gallery Irvine Fine Arts Center...)
